Cosby Picks Up New Offer; Sets Up Visits

Aaron Cosby's recruitment appears to be heating up. He scored a Big Ten offer last weekend and has a trio of visits set up.

Aaron Cosby began his high school career at Louisville (Ky.) Manual and committed to UMass shortly after his freshman season. Now, he's an uncommitted prospect and is prepping for his first season at Louisville (Ky.) Jeffersontown.

After sitting out during his sophomore season due to transfer rules, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard is primed for a big junior campaign.

"I think we are going to be really good and I think I'm going to have a really good year," Cosby said. "I have really good teammates and Coach [Jeff] Morrow is pushing me every day and I think he's going to be a really good coach for me."

College coaches have been a constant at his new school. Indiana, Minnesota, Miami (OH), Ohio, Louisville, Oklahoma State and others have made their way to J-Town to watch him work out.

"There's probably been a dozen coaches come to open gym to watch me play," Cosby said. "My most recent offer is from Indiana. Coach [Tom] Crean was there Thursday and I talked to him on Friday and he offered."

He also has scholarship offers from Minnesota, Oklahoma State, Miami (OH) and Ohio University. However, the offer from Indiana has Cosby thinking a lot about the Hoosiers.

"It puts Indiana at the top," Cosby told Scout.com.

"Indiana's assistants had seen me playing during AAU, but that was the first time that Coach Crean has seen me play," Cosby continued. "I thought he was going to wait, but I played with the players when I was at Indiana and he said the team was very impressed with me and he just wanted to come see me and he said he saw enough."

Cosby has already taken a handful of unofficial visits. He's taken trips to Indiana, Miami (OH) and Purdue. He has a pair of return trips planned to Indiana and will visit Minnesota on November 6th.

As far as Cosby's decision making process, he didn't name a timetable for his decision, but he didn't rule out making a decision in the near future.

"I'm going to go to Indiana this weekend and see how things go," Cosby said. "If I find the right situation, then I have no problem making an early commitment."
