Tyler Will Head East; Picks Big East Squad

Jeremy Tyler has made his college decision. The talented big man picked a Big East school Saturday evening.

The Louisville Cardinals scored a huge commitment on Saturday. Rick Pitino and his staff reeled in San Diego (Calif.) High standout and top 10 prospect Jeremy Tyler.

When Scout.com talked to the 6-foot-9 prospect, he confirmed his commitment, but declined to discuss his decision further. The commitment was also confirmed by sources close to the situation.

"I committed 10 minutes ago," Tyler said.

Walter McCarty, who played at the University of Kentucky and in the NBA, was the point man on Tyler's recruitment.

Tyler, who is ranked No. 7 overall in the class of 2010, also considered USC, UCLA, Connecticut and Memphis.

He's the second member of the 2010 class to commit to Louisville. He joins Alabama native Josh Langford to make up the Cardinals current 2010 class.
