"It's just a great place," said Hicks. "The coaches and players are great. They have a strong program and it all fit."
Hicks was pretty much unknown heading into the summer, but he had some very good showings in early July. He got hurt in the middle of the evaluation period, and missed the last part of July, but he made enough of an impression with his earlier play. He's got a great motor and moves very well for his size.
Prior to reaching his decision, Hicks also considered Cal Poly and Idaho.
