Crump Ticketed For Big 12

Power forward Givon Crump is off the market. Recently, the Brewster big picked a Big 12 team.

The Baylor basketball team added its third recruit over the weekend.

Givon Crump, a 6-foot-7 power forward out of Wolfeboro (N.H.) Brewster Academy, committed to the Bears. South Florida, Oregon State and Rutgers were the primary suitors.

"Givon can really shoot the ball," Brewster coach Jason Smith told "He's been very impressive in early season workouts. Last year he was kind of a specialist. Now he's putting the ball on the floor and he's diversified his game."

Crump turned in a strong first half of the summer when he made a bevy of shots at Reebok All-American Camp. He caught the attention of national programs with his ability to knock down jumpers.
