When Solomon Hill committed to Arizona he thought he'd be playing for Lute Olson. Since the legendary coach is now heading to retirement, Hill is rethinking his commitment.
and Mike Moser
have both gone on record saying Lute Olson's decision to step down will have an affect on their recruitments. Now, Los Angeles (Calif.) Fairfax standout Solomon Hill
has spoken out.
"As of now, yes [my recruitment] is open," Hill told Scout.com. "But I really want to get over to Arizona and possibly talk to the new coach and talk to Mike [Moser] and Abdul [Gaddy]."
Olson opted to step down as the head coach at Arizona yesterday. Friday afternoon Russ Pennell was named the Wildcats interim head coach.
Prior to picking Arizona, Hill had plenty of high major interest. Among the schools heavily involved were Kansas State, Washington State, USC, San Diego and San Diego State.
Since Olson's decision to leave Arizona, Hill, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound wing, has heard USC, who was a major player in his recruitment the first time around.
Hill is ranked No. 64 overall and No. 13 on the small forward list.
