It took a few visits for Nick Russell to make a decision, but he finally settled on a Big 12 program.
After taking a handful of official visits, Nick Russell
has decided on his school of choice. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard gave Frank Martin and Kansas State
a verbal commitment Saturday evening.
"It's a great fit for me," Russell said. "I like coach Martin and the rest of the staff. I like the school and I felt like I clicked with the players. I know the strength coach is going to work me hard to get my body ready for the next level."
Russell took official visits to Kansas State, Iowa, Texas Tech and SMU. He took two trips to Manhattan (Kans.) and just felt at home.
"I liked it a lot both times," Russell said. "It just felt good there."
Russell is Kansas State's fourth commitment in the 2009 class. Joining Russell is five-star prospect Wally Judge, talented guard Rodney McGruder and JUCO product Jordan Henriquez.
