2010's Lindsay Draw Interest

Gonzaga continues to crank out prospects. Its 2010 backcourt of Tyler Thornton (Duke) and Cedrick Lindsay keeps the tradition alive.

Gonzaga College High has cranked out its share of prospects the past few seasons. Steve Turner's program specializes in good students and good players. After 2010, Turner is going to have to replace a big time backcourt.

Top 50 prospect Tyler Thornton already committed to Duke. Now, shooting guard Cedrick Lindsay is getting looks for his prowess.

"I think (his recruiting) is to be determined by him in the next couple of years," Turner said. "Right now he's getting very strong interest at the mid level and he's got a few high-majors who are keeping tabs on him."

As a sophomore, Lindsay averaged 8 points a game. During his time at Gonzaga, Lindsay played alongside ACC recruits and Ivy Leagues prospects. The competition has been very good for his perspective and development.

"It lets me know how good our program is and everyone has a chance coming in," Lindsay said. "It's not just one person, it's more like a family. No matter where you go, if you play well, people will notice. Playing against them makes me a better player."

Out of the gate early come offers from William & Mary, James Madison, Towson, Mount St. Mary's and Loyola. Providence, George Mason, Marquette, Penn Sate and LSU are looking at him and numerous mid level schools are taking his pulse.

Lindsay will be on the campuses of Penn State and LSU in the near future.
