Caudill Drawing Plenty Of Attention

Kyle Caudill, one of the elite big men in the West Coast class of 2011, gives us some early thoughts on his recruitment...

Kyle Caudill, 6-10 SO C Brea (Calif.) High, is a very promising young big man who figures to hear from numerous programs across the country in the coming years. He's got good hands, a very good feel for the game and a developing low-post game.

I spoke with Caudill recently and asked him about the schools that he's heard from to date.

"The top ones in no particular order are UCLA, Arizona State, Oregon State, Wake Forest and Oklahoma," said Caudill. "But I'm still wide open."

Caudill said a few schools have already extended scholarship offers.

"Arizona State, Oregon State and USC have offered," said Caudill.

I asked Caudill what he's looking for in a college.

"A good coach that can develop big men and help me get to the next level," said Caudill. "I also want to be on a team that will be competitive while I'm there. The location doesn't really matter to me."

I asked Caudill if he has a time frame in mind for making his choice.

"Probably sometime during my junior year so I can get it out of the way and enjoy my senior year," said Caudill.

Caudill told me that he had a 3.8 GPA last semester.
