Hill Will Stay Home

Solomon Hill, the 13th ranked wing, goes down again. The California native recently picked a PAC-10 squad.

Once Solomon Hill decommitted from Arizona, USC was thought to be the odds on favorite for his services. It turns out the Trojans got their man. Hill, a standout at Los Angeles (Calif.) Fairfax, committed to Tim Floyd and his program Monday afternoon.

"It is a hometown school and I was seeing coach Floyd more than anyone," Hill said. "It wasn't outworking it was just me feeling where I was most comfortable [with them]."

Hill joins four-star prospect Noel Johnson, of Fayetteville (Ga.) Fayette County, and three-star prospect Derrick Williams, of La Mirada (Calif.) High, to make up USC's current 2009 recruiting class.

"I got to know Noel at Lebron camp, and I've played against Derrick a few times . I think were solid to match up with the [other] PAC-10 classes.

Hill, who is ranked No. 64 overall by Scout.com, is a versatile prospect that can play a handful of positions and USC sold him that he'd get to spend some time at the point.

"USC was a place for me to work on multiple positions and come in a play major minutes," Hill told Scout.com. "Coach told me I'm going to be able to play some point guard , so that alone will open my game to another level."

Hill also considered Georgetown, Kansas State and Kentucky.
