2010 Introduction: Keala King

Keala King, a 6-4 junior guard from Southern California, says Pac-10 and Big 12 programs currently head his list...

Keala King, 6-4 JR SG Compton (Calif.) Dominguez, is a talented lefty with a versatile game. He's a capable spot up shooter, with the ability to play inside and on the perimeter.

I spoke with King recently and asked about the programs he's heard from to date.

"The main ones have been USC, Texas and Oregon," said King. "My top two would probably be USC and Texas."

I asked King if any schools have offered yet.

"Not yet, but I talked to the USC coach and he said they'll be on me a lot," said King.

I asked King if he has any criteria in mind for choosing a school.

"A program that plays the way I play and someplace where when I come in there will be playing time right away," said King. "I don't want to be sitting and not playing my first year. The location doesn't really matter to me."

King said he'd prefer to make his choice sooner rather than later.

"I don't want to wait too long," said King. "I'd rather commit early."

King said he has a 3.5 GPA.
