Epps Ends It; Commits To Big East Program

Isaiah Epps made his pick on Sunday. With interest from a number of local schools and a handful of offers, Epps went with a Big East school.

Pittsburgh is on the board in 2010.

Sunday morning Jamie Dixon and the Pittsburgh Panthers received a verbal commitment from Plainfield (N.J.) High standout Isaiah Epps. Epps' mother, Danielle, confirmed the commitment to Scout.com this morning.

To go with Pittsburgh, Epps, a 6-foot-2, 165-pound lead guard, had scholarship offers from Maryland, Rutgers and Seton Hall. Epps had taken a recent trip to Maryland and took a handful of unofficial visits to Pitt.

Epps is the first member of the junior class to commit to Pittsburgh. Their 2009 class is full as they have Talib Zanna, J.J. Richardson, Dante Taylor and Lamar Patterson in the fold.

Epps is rated No. 10 on Scout.com's 2010 point guard list, and is a four-star prospect.
