No Visits Planned For Natyazhko

There aren't many Top 100 prospects in the 2009 class still available, but Kyryl Natyazhko is still out there and he doesn't appear to be in a hurry to make a college decision.

Kyryl Natyazhko's senior season is nearing its end and he still doesn't appear ready to make a college decision.

According to Vince Walden, the head basketball coach at Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, the 6-foot-10, 240-pound center is taking his time with the recruiting process and isn't in a hurry to take his official visits.

The four-star prospect has, however, begun to develop a list.

"He has six schools right now, which are Xavier, Arizona State, Miami, Kentucky, Pittsburgh and Florida State," Walden said. "And I talked to Charlotte, who is hoping they could get in on the kid."

Although he's yet to take an official visit, Natyazhko has seen a few campuses. Xavier had him up for their elite camp this past summer, he saw a Miami game earlier in the year and he stopped by UNC Charlotte following a tournament this season.

"The kid is kind of looking at things," Walden said. "He does want to put together a plan and execute some visits. In a month around February he wants to get out as long as it doesn't conflict with the team."

"He really hasn't been in a big hurry to go visit schools and get excited about it," he continued. "He watches games every night and is always asking questions about programs."

Natyazhko is currently averaging 21 points and nine rebounds per game, and Walden said he's made an improvement with his rebounding.

"He's playing really well," he said. "The area that he's really improved in is his rebounding. He's got a great frame, thick legs and is a strong kid. To be so agile, we really thought he could increase his rebounding and dominate the game in that statistical category and he's really improved."

Natyazhko is ranked No. 64 overall and No. 10 on the's 2009 center list.
