2010 Introduction: Terrence Ingram

Terrence Ingram, an intriguing 2010 guard from San Diego, Calif., is hearing from schools in the Pac-10, WCC, CAA and Mountain West conferences...

Terrence Ingram, 6-0 JR PG/SG San Diego (Calif.) Hoover, is an intriguing prospect with a nice upside. While he's not a pure point, Ingram is an explosive athlete with considerable potential.

I spoke with Ingram recently and asked about the schools he's been hearing from lately.

"UC Santa Barbara, Cal, San Diego State, San Diego and VCU," said Ingram. "I don't really have a favorite right now."

Ingram talked a little about the issues he'll consider when choosing a school.

"The education and environment are big," said Ingram. "I want a place that feels kind of homey, where I think I'll be able to thrive. The location isn't real important, but I am from Georgia originally, so any place near there would be a plus."

Ingram said he's not sure when he'll make a decision.

"I don't really know when I'll decide," said Ingram. "If the right school comes along, I could commit. I'd like to decide by the early signing period, but if I don't then I'll just have to wait."

Ingram said he has taken one unofficial visit.

"I went to VCU for a camp in August," said Ingram.

Ingram said he has a 3.5 GPA.
