SEC Champs Score In 2010

Jalen Courtney, a 6-foot-7 power forward out of Jackson Provine, decided on Saturday to play his college basketball in the SEC.

Trent Johnson's LSU program is on the board in the Class of 2010.

Jalen Courtney, a 6-foot-7 power forward out of Jackson (Miss.) Provine, committed to LSU after pondering offers from Arkansas and Missouri.

"On the floor he shot the ball consistently, rebounded well and went to the offensive and defensive glass," Provine coach Luther Riley told Scout.com. "He averaged about 18 points a game for us this year. He's got leadership ability on and off the floor."

Courtney and Provine fell Saturday night in the Mississippi state championship game. Provine was bidding to become the first team in state history to win three in a row. Courtney finished with 24 and 14 rebounds.
