Creekmur Decommits From Big Ten School

Chanse Creekmur is back on the market. The junior prospect decommitted from Iowa.

Chanse Creekmur was originally Iowa-bound, but the 2010 prospect opted out of that commitment on Wednesday.

According to his AAU team coach Marquis Watts, of Net Gain Sports, Creekmur, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound wing, felt he committed too early in the process and wants to see what other options are available.

"He had some doubts and had some questions," Watts said. "I just think he wants to reevaluate what he was thinking with Iowa and they need to get on the same page recruiting wise. His parents talked about it and they called me. They let Iowa know this morning."

Before committing to Iowa, Creekmur had interest from Drake, Arizona State, Northern Iowa and Creighton.

"He committed so early he didn't let a lot of people get in," Watts said. "He committed like the first or second weekend in August."

Creekmur will travel the circuit with Net Gain Sports this coming spring and summer. Their tentative schedule is to be in Arkansas for the Real Deal on the Rock, as well as participate in the Next Level Baller Tournament and the Jayhawk Invitational.
