Darius Smith made one Big East program very happy. The talented combo guard made his pick Monday evening.

Darius Smith has picked his new home.

According to sources close to the situation, Darius Smith, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, will take his game to Big East power Connecticut.

Over the course of his senior season, Smith raised his stock and became one of the most pursued members of the 2009 class. Arizona State, Duke, Marquette, Cincinnati and a few others made a play for Smith.

Smith is a four-star prospect and ranked No. 21 at the shooting guard spot. He'll likely make a move into Scout.com's final Top 100 list.

Smith is the fourth member of the Huskies class. He joins five-star prospect Alex Oriakhi, as well as Jamaal Trice and Jamal Coombs-McDaniel.
