Buie Will Play In The Big Ten

Taran Buie wanted to end his recruitment, so the talented combo guard opted for a Big Ten program shortly after they gained a big victory.

The Penn State Nittany Lions scored on and off the court Thursday evening.

Just after knocking off Baylor in the NIT Championship, Taran Buie, a 6-foot-1 combo guard, gave Ed DeChellis and Penn State a verbal commitment.

"It's true," Buie said in a text message to Scout.com. "It felt like home."

Point guards have been flying off the board in the 2010 class, so securing this one is big for the Lions. Buie is the brother of current Penn State star Taylor Battle. Buie is the first prospect in the 2010 class to commit to Penn State.
