Clark Puts Sherman On The Map

It happens every spring. Somebody gets hot, gets seen and turns himself into a commodity. We watched Avery Bradley erupt last year in Vakeaton Wafer fashion. This time around Cameron Clark may be the guy who hosts the prospect party!

Now would be a good time to open a new rental car booth at the Sherman Municipal Airport. Private planes are about to descend upon the airstrip as one of the country's hottest basketball recruits, Cameron Clark, has advanced his profile on the national scene.

Clark, a 6-foot-6 small forward out of Sherman High School, was terrific for Team Texas at last weekend's Real Deal In The Rock. He saved his best scoring effort for his final game as he rung up 39 points in a playoff loss.

So, who is this guy and where has he been? "I just had to wait and see the competition and prove to everybody that I can play with them," Clark told "I've been in Sherman. It's a country town."

Oklahoma, Kansas, Southern Cal, Arizona and Arizona State have offered. Clark said he's been in communication with each head coach and they've laid down the scholarship for him. After last weekend, they'll be glad to have beaten the pack but they are certain to have company.

Thus far, Clark's been to OU and liked it. The Sooners and Sun Devils have been brought their "A" games. "All of them have done a good job," Clark said. "OU and Arizona State, they call the most."
