Ross Will Stay On East Coast

Terrance Ross had plenty of colleges to choose from, but on Friday the high major wing went with one close to his new school. He'll play in the ACC.

Terrance Ross must enjoy the east coast because the 6-foot-5, 185-pound small forward will stay there for his college basketball.

Ross, a standout at Rockville (Md.) Montrose Christian, confirmed his decision to stay at Maryland Friday afternoon. "Yeah, it's true," Ross said when asked about the commitment.

Ross, a high level athlete that is equipped with a solid spot up jumper, is No. 17 on Scout.com's shooting guard list and is ranked No. 64 overall. He's rated as a four-star prospect.

This is the second 2010 commitment for Maryland in the past month. In early April, Gary Williams' staff scored a commitment from 6-foot-2 guard Terrell Stoglin.

Ross is originally of Portland (Ore.). During his junior season at Jefferson High, Ross teamed with talented Junior Terrance Jones to win a 5A state title.
