New Hampton Guard To Big 12

Mark McLaughlin made a late night commitment to the Baylor Bears. He'll take a sweet stroke to Waco.

The Baylor Bears added a new wing player late Friday night and they took the prep school route to get him.

Mark McLaughlin, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard make a commitment to the Bears. A former Nevada signee, McLaughlin headed for New Hampton Prep this past season to play under Peter Hutchins.

"Mark is a talented offensive player," Hutchins said. "He's a long wing who is a dead stick from three. He also possesses a great mid-range game and an ability to score at the rim."

In short, the Bears just acquired instant offense from the west coast native
