Parrom Sticks With Coach; Will Play In Pac-10

Kevin Parrom had his list narrowed to two schools. On Sunday he went with a familiar coach.

Kevin Parrom is headed to a new school, but will be with familiar faces.

A 6-foot-6 wing originally out of New York committed to Arizona on Sunday during an official visit. This is the second time he's committed to Sean Miller. He was originally signed to go to Xavier.

"When coach left I had to take a step back and rethink my options," Parrom said. "It came down to Pitt and Arizona and I just thought. Arizona was a better opportunity for me and that's why I chose them."

Parrom, a top 100 prospect, wasn't the only recruit on campus this weekend. A pair of committed guys – Solmon Hill & Kyryl Natyazhko – were also in Tucson (Ariz.) for the weekend and Parrom likes their overall class.

"The campus is great," Parrom told Scout.com. "The people are great and the academics are great. Solomon Hill and Kyryl came out here and that's a pretty nice freshman class."

Parrom's original interest in Xavier began with assistant coach Emmanuel "Book" Richardson. The two knew each other from the New York area, and that relationship is one of the many reasons the talented wing is back in Miller's hands at Arizona.

"I've known Book for a long time and I've known him from the New York Gauchos and we come from the same area," Parrom said. "I've known him for a long time. But I have a great relationship with the other coaches on the staff too."

Since being named the head coach at Arizona, Miller has regained the commitment of Hill, and now added Natyazhko and Parrom to the fold.
