Leslie Building List, Reputation

Few had a closer look at John Wall's recruitment than C.J. Leslie. One of the nation's top juniors, Leslie has his own recruitment to deal with and so far things are going well for the Raleigh forward.

C.J. Leslie had a front row seat for the recruitment of John Wall. Scout.com's No. 12 junior watched his friend go through the most chronicled recruitment of the year. So, what did he learn?

"You narrow it down, think your choices out and by next fall I want to have at least two schools," Leslie said.

Leslie, a 6-foot-8 power forward who could morph into a three-man down the road, is an elite athlete. He's one of the tops in the country at his position and he's entertaining lots of programs.

The one-time North Carolina State commitment is likely to visit another Tobacco Road school next week. "I'm supposed to be going to North Carolina sometime like in the next week," Leslie said.

Leslie's been a popular guy this spring. "I talk to so many coaches and they keep saying they really want me bad and they can see me in their program and they love my game."

Leslie has plenty of suitors. From the Pack to UNC, Wake Forest, Kentucky, Memphis, Maryland, Tennessee and Florida, his list is expansive. "I'll give everybody a chance and make sure it's really what I want to do."

Since the end of the high school season, Leslie has appeared more focused, intent on stating his case. "I gotta prove a lot of people wrong. I'm better than what they think I am. There's a lot of people that doubt me right now. I'm not where I would like to be. I gotta go out there and show them that I really love this game and I can play this game."
