Oyedeji Is Off The Board

Tobi Oyedeji is off the board. The talented big man made his decision shortly following an in-state Elite Camp.

Tobi Oyedeji has been on the verge of a commitment for quite some time and shortly after Texas A&M's Elite Camp, the 6-foot-8, 200-pound power forward called Mark Turgeon and gave him a verbal commitment.

"It's a lot of pressure off of me and a big relief," he said of his commitment. "It's just a lot of weight off of my back. Now I can just focus on how to get better."

Oyedeji, of Bellaire (Tex.) High, said he also strongly considered Arizona State, Georgia Tech and Oklahoma.

"It came down to the staff that they have," Oyedeji said. "I know everybody there and their facilities are great, so that was real big. The locker rooms are great, the facilities are great and I just know everyone there."

While at their Elite Camp, Oyedeji was able to match up with some talented prospects. Among the best he went up against was Luke Cothron, and Oyedeji thinks he got the best of him.

"It went pretty good," he said. "My first game was against Luke Cothron and I felt like I played well. We both went at it. I think I edged him out. I feel like I got him."

Oyedeji is ranked No. 49 overall and is No. 13 on the power forward list.
