"My dad was in New York and I was in California playing with Mater Dei," Franklin said. "Then as soon as my dad got back from New York I flew out here. So we still haven't sat down and talked about it."
If Franklin, a 6-foot, 180-pound guard, were to open his recruitment back up he'd have plenty of options. In fact a number of schools -- Oklahoma, Connecticut and Washington -- have made contact since Floyd's departure.
But Franklin still isn't sure what he's going to do. Before he makes a decision about USC he wants to talk to his father and discuss Southern California's future coach.
"I'm trying to wait and see who the new coach is," he said. "I just want to wait and talk [to my dad] about it and see what happens."
