2004 Spotlight: Cornelius Ingram

Junior swingman Cornelius Ingram splits time between football and basketball. In the championship game of the Hitchcock Classic this month, his 39-point effort lifted Hawthorne.

Delton Hayes, a special contributor to this site, recently took in a game with Hawthorne junior swingman Cornelius Ingram. His 39-point outburst lifted his team past Newberry in the championship game of the Hitchcock Classic.

The following chart was conducted on Ingram during the contest:

Hayes On Ingram: "He will not have better nights than this one. Splitting time between the hardwood and the gridiron where he's passed for over 4,000 yards the past two seasons as a standout QB, may have slowed his skill development somewhat.

"He is still showing the ability to get to the basket against bigger players and knock down the three-ball when the defense backs off. Playing for a tiny high school, Ingram has to play the post positions as well as his natural guard spot."
