"He's been down there and visited last year over Thanksgiving," Poole's father told Scout.com. "He's been down there and visited. He's excited about the opportunity to play both (baseball and basketball)."
Poole averaged 15 points a game on the hardwood and doubles as a high-level baseball prospect. There's a spot for him on the Rebels baseball team as a walk-on and he plans to play both sports in college, with the focus being on hoops.
"They said that they'll use me right off the bat as a freshman because they're thinking they'll be short handed on the three-spot by the time I get there."
Poole has family ties to Oxford. On the hardwood he's best known for brandishing a strong perimeter game and size (6-6) to matchup with his stroke.
"Ole Miss, last year they started looking at me pretty good. I fell in love with the staff and how small the college was. I fell in love and it gave me that good feel. Everything about it, I just loved it."
