Jones Goes Down

It didn't take Adam Jones long after the second July evaluation period to come to a decision. The talented athlete made a commitment

Ed Cooley and his staff at Fairfield scored a significant commitment.

The Stags received a pledge from Adam Jones, a standout at Winter Park (Fla.) High, late Sunday evening.

"I'm very happy with my decision," Jones, a three-star prospect, told Scout.com.

Jones, a 6-foot-7, 200-pound power forward, also had plenty of interest from Tulance, Central Florida, South Carolina, George Mason, Old Dominion and Siena.

"[Fairfield has a] great coaching staff and they have been there since day one," Jones said. "They make me feel like family and it's somewhere I feel I'm going to play and become a man."

Jones joins Jamel Fields, as the second 2010 commitment for the Stags.
