Etherington Commits To Local School

Austin Etherington opted to make an early college decision. The talented wing went down to a Big Ten program on Monday.

Tom Crean has made it a point to target the state of Indiana.

Monday afternoon he picked off one of the better underclassmen in the Hoosier state -- Austin Etherington.

"Yeah I [committed]," Etherington confirmed to Scout.com.

"Ever since I went on the visit there I felt like it was the right place for me to go," Etherington said. "I know my family wanted me to stay close so they could watch me."

The Arcadia (Ind.) Hamilton Heights standout had varying amounts of interest form Butler, Purdue, Xavier and Northwestern among others.

Etherington, a four-star prospect, is Indiana's second 2011 commitment. He joins Matt Carlino in the 2011 class.
