Madracus Wades Into SEC Waters

Mardracus Wade found his match. The Memphis Mitchell 2010 combo guard wasted no time and ended his recruitment on Monday.

Mardracus Wade, a 6-foot-2 combo guard out of Memphis (Tenn.) Mitchell is ecstatic about his college choice. He'll be a member of the Arkansas Razorbacks.

"It's everything," Wade said. "The fans love Memphis players. The last time they had a Memphis player they went to the Final Four. We're trying to get that tradition back. We should be pretty good."

Ranked No. 74 in the Scout.com Top 100, Wade could have gone to Missouri, Mississippi State or Alabama.

"I looked into the other schools that were recruiting me and this was the best available for me," Wade said. "I went with them. They see me as someone who can come in and be a combo guard. They want me to help Courtney Fortson out because he can score pretty good. On defense, they want me to be a leader and get everyone's intensity up. Basically, help them out at both ends of the floor."

Now, Wade puts on his recruiting cap and hopes to add more Memphians to the Hogs haul. "We need a big man like Tarik Black and an outside shooter somebody like Chris Crawford or Austin Hollins and we'll be set."
