Fajemisin Still Wide Open

Simi Fajemisin, one of the top post prospects in the West Coast class of 2010, has some offers on the table from Big West, WCC and Big Sky schools...

Simi Fajemisin, 6-9 SR C Lynnwood (Wash.) High, is a very intriguing big-bodied post prospect. He's still in the process of growing into his body, and he needs to tone up a bit, but he's got a chance to be a very good player someday.

I spoke with Fajemisin recently and he told me about the schools that have been in contact with him since July.

"Gonzaga, San Diego, Portland State, St. Mary's, Long Beach State, Pacific, Montana and Cal Poly," said Fajemisin.

I asked him if any schools have extended scholarship offers.

"San Diego, Portland State and Long Beach have offered," said Fajemisin.

Fajemisin said he doesn't have a leader at this time.

"I'm pretty much wide open," said Fajemisin.

Fajemisin hasn't taken any visits yet, but plans on doing so in September.

"I'm visiting Gonzaga on September 25," said Fajemisin. "And I'll definitely visit San Diego, but haven't set a date yet."

I asked Fajemisin what he is looking for in a school.

"Someplace where I can play, a good atmosphere and a good education," said Fajemisin.

Fajemisin said he has a 3.6 GPA.
