No. 87 Martin Makes Choice

Justin Martin has come up with a college decision. The four-star prospect made his choice during an unofficial visit to an Atlantic-10 program.

Justin Martin has found his college home.

Martin, a 6-foot-7 wing standout from Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence North, gave Chris Mack and the Xavier Muskeeters their third verbal commitment of the 2011 class.

"Coach [Travis] Steele and coach [Chris] Mack did a great job recruiting me," Martin said. "Me and mom and dad talked about it and actually I decided today when I got back from seeing the dorms."

"We talked about it and I decided to do it when we got in the office and we decided to do it when we sat down with coach Mack."

Martin was originally a Louisville commit, backed off his commitment from the Cardinals in the spring. Since then he's entertained interest from Kentucky, Marquette and Oregon State.

Xavier has strong ties to the Indiana area and this is coach Mack's second Indiana commitment since becoming head coach.

"They have a great recruiting class coming in and it's close to home," Martin said. "The they play a great non-conference schedule and it's a good academic situation for me. There's also chance for me to play right away."

Martin, who is ranked No. 87, joins Top 100 recruit Jordan Latham and Jamestown (N.C.) Lucy Ragsdale standout Jay Canty to make up their current 2010 recruiting class.
