Selby Taking It Step By Step

Josh Selby has a plan and a definite pace to his recruiting. First, beginning with Kansas, he'll host schools in his home. After a round of bringing schools into his living he'll make plans to go see theirs.

Josh Selby, according to his mother Maeshon Witherspoon, has a plan. First things first and that means a series of in-home visits from a selection of the country's top programs.

Witherspoon said her son hasn't set any officials to date. "As of right now, we don't know. The plan is to see how the in-home visits go first and then we can go from there."

Batter Up!

The Kansas Jayhawks lead things off with a Sept. 9 opening evening sit down. Connecticut (10), Baylor (11) and Oregon (14) are on the books. Kentucky, Miami and Texas haven't firmed up dates with the first-year Baltimore (Md.) Lake Clifton point guard.

What about the Volunteers of Tennessee, the school Selby originally committed to? Probably a long shot and it doesn't appear they've even done a ton but still warrant an update. "Tennessee is on the list but we don't have to do an in-home visit with Tennessee," Witherspoon said.

For Selby, a long, productive summer is over. "He finished off very well at the Boost Mobile game and he had a great summer."
