Jackson To The Big East

Justin Jackson took his name off the best availables board on Thursday. Jackson committed to play in the Big East.

Justin Jackson said if doesn't reach his ultimate goal of making "the league" then he may want to try his hand at becoming a sports agent. On Thursday, the Cincinnati Bearcats obtained the services of a young man who told Scout.com his decision was as much about academics as it was hoops.

"I'm not worried about basketball, it's the academics and they offered great academics," Jackson said. "They have a lady named Sarah that works with your all the time. I can stay focused on school. They have a great program academically. I think I'm going to do business law."

Jackson made an unofficial visit to Cincinnati last weekend. His hard-playing style and commitment to rebounding will be welcomed by Mick Cronin's bunch. Jackson said he also considered Missouri.

"The Bearcats, they play as a team and they run. They've got a lot of new guys. They've got Lance this year and some guys from New York. They're working hard and I want to be a part of the dance. We're going to be good in a couple years and I want to be a part of that.

Jackson attends Montverde (Fla.) Montverde Academy and ran this summer with Team Stat.
