Prather Sets Three Official Visits

Casey Prather has narrowed his list down to seven schools. He also recently set up a trio of official visits. He'll begin the trips this weekend.

Casey Prather is ready to begin the official visit part of his recruiting process.

A highly touted wing out of Jackson (Tenn.) Northside, Prather has had a number of high profile programs involved in his recruitment and he's slowly narrowed his list to seven schools.

Clemson, Michigan, Florida, Vanderbilt, Memphis, North Carolina and Kentucky make up his current list. According to Prather, a 6-foot-5 wing, UNC and Kentucky are the only two on his list that haven't offered a scholarship.

"It's all going well," Prather said of his recruitment. "I'm getting ready to take a couple of visits. This Friday I'm going to Clemson and the next week after that I'm going to Michigan. Then after that I'll go down to Florida."

"I want to see how the players and the coaching staffs interact," Prather said. "I also want to feel like I'm at home."

To go with the three visits set up for the next three weekends, Prather has spoken to Vanderbilt about a possible visit in the near future.

Prather, who doesn't have a favorite, is hoping to come up with a decision prior to the start of his senior season, but he said that timetable isn't a definite.

"I kind of want to make a verbal commitment before my season starts," he told "I'm going to try and make a hard push coming up and go on these visits and come up with a decision."
