Robinson Louisme, a 6-8 junior at Fort Myers High, used the City of Palms Classic to springboard himself into high-major scholarship contention. Since December, many programs have been down to take a look.

Schools Taking A Peak

Robinson Louisme is one of those guys who you are going to hear about in the future, meaning this spring and summer. The Fort Myers junior played extremely well at 2002 City of Palms Classic.

"It was very important to play well," Louisme said. "I knew there was a bunch of coaches out there and I knew I just had to play my game. It was like a showcase to show everybody what you got."

Well, the word got out about Louisme who appears to be a developing diamond in the rough. "I'm just starting to develop. I've played since the sixth grade and I am just growing an inch every year."

Louisme said that he's beginning to receive mail from Texas, Connecticut, Purdue, West Virginia, Miami, Florida State, South Florida, Illinois, Alabama, High Point, Richmond, Tulane, Washington, Wyoming and Charleston.

On Thursday, South Florida and the Florida Gators dropped by to check him out. Last week, Texas sent an assistant.
