O'Donnell Happy With Options
Last fall, Mike O'Donnell was a Gator. He was ready to head to prep school for a year and then lace them up for the Gators. After rethinking his decision, O'Donnell decided to open up his recruitment again and he's got some great options.
"I couldn't be happier," O'Donnell said. "I'm just thrilled that these people want me to come to their school. I've always dreamed of playing college ball and it looks like that's what I'll get to do."
Right now, Holy Cross and Butler are out in front as the two schools that have been able to work on visits. "Butler and Holy Cross are probably my top two with Butler in front just because I've been up the campus."
As for the Butler unofficial visit? "It was great. I really liked it. It's a great basketball atmosphere and a really good family atmosphere and that was one of the main things I was looking for."
O'Donnell has an official visit scheduled with Holy Cross for the weekend of Feb. 2. In addition to Butler and Holy Cross, Old Dominion and North Carolina State have shown interest. O'Donnell said that the Pack might come and see him in a week or so and ODU's interest has been recent.
