Oladipo To The Big Ten

Victor Oladipo made up his mind shortly after a visit. The talented wing is headed to the Big Ten.

It didn't take Victor Oladipo long to commit following his official visit to Indiana, as the 6-foot-5 wing gave Tom Crean and his staff at IU a verbal commitment Monday afternoon.

"I just felt like that was the place for me," Oladipo told Scout.com. "Coach Crean and this staff have wanted me for a long time and we've kept in touch the most out of all of the schools that wanted me."

According to Oladipo, a standout at Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha, his decision ultimately came down to Indiana and Notre Dame. Ultimately it was the visit to Bloomington that pushed him to make a decision.

"Playing with the guys in open gym and seeing how I fit in [was a factor]," he said. "When coach Crean said they don't have a player like me and seeing that in open gym just made me see that coach Crean has been watching my game and knows my potential."

Oladipo also pointed to a strong relationship with a current Hoosier as playing a big role in his final decision.

"When I went to the visit Maurice Creek was there and Maurice creek is like my big brother and we've grown up together," he said. "He showed me the ropes and just the feel overall. I just felt like that was the place for me."

Oladipo joins David Williams, of Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast, to make up Indiana's current 2010 recruiting class.
