Howard Will Wait Until Spring

Following July, Pe'Shon Howard thought about possibly deciding early, but the talented floor general changed his mind and will now wait out the process.

At one point Pe'Shon Howard was closing in on making his college decision, but now the Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill standout is stepping back from the recruiting process and letting some new schools in the picture.

While Howard, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound floor general, didn't name all of the schools involved, he did say Harvard, Stanford, USC and South Florida are all vying for his services.

"It kind of went crazy and picked up after July," Howard said. "In August I was thinking about making a decision, but we decided to just slow down and get ready for high school and make a decision after some visits this year."

"I was trying to [come to a decision] because it seemed like it was getting hectic and I thought I wanted to narrow it down," he said. "I decided to keep it open and let schools know that I'm wide open. I'm probably going to go through the season and take visits throughout the year."

Now Howard, a three-star prospect on, is thinking about making a decision in the late signing period.

"I'm thinking late," he said. "A lot of schools that are on me now I don't know a ton about them. A school like USC, they have a new coach and I kind of want to them and these other schools during the season."

Howard doesn't have any visits planned for the near future, but did say he would like to take some during the fall.
