Pearson Hearing From Pac-10

Lonnie Pearson hasn't received a lot of hype, but he's a better prospect than many players with bigger reps. Three Pac-10 schools have been showing Pearson interest...

Lonnie Pearson, 6-5 SR SF Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach, is ranked #3 among West Coast small forwards in the class of 2010 and he has a considerable upside. Pearson has a terrific basketball body, he's an above average athlete and he's a very versatile player.

I spoke with Pearson recently and asked about the schools expressing interest in him.

"Arizona State, Oregon State and Washington State are the main ones," said Pearson.

Pearson has yet to set up any official visits and says he plans on waiting until after his senior season is over before choosing a college.

"I'm going to sign in April," said Pearson.

I asked Pearson what he is looking for in a school.

"A good education, a nice campus, a good community and nice people," said Pearson. "The location doesn't really matter to me."

Pearson said he currently has a 3.0 GPA.
