No. 99 Collinsworth Stays Home

Kyle Collinsworth saw his share of college campuses in the past 12 months. On Wednesday, Collinsworth selected the one he knew the most about.

BYU didn't always lead for Kyle Collinsworth but they led when it counts.

On Wednesday, the 6-foot-6 Top 100 prospect out of Provo (Utah) High selected the BYU Cougars over Southern Cal, Arizona State and Virginia.

The Cougars kept hanging in there as Collinsworth visited a number of schools from each coast. As the gritty wing looked around, BYU never wavered. "At times (BYU didn't lead) but toward the late stages when it matters, it was on my mind a lot."

The Cougars also boasted a unique hook. Collinsworth's brother, Chris, is a sophomore on the team. "It was a big factor," Kyle said. "I always thought it would be fun to play with my brother."

Collinsworth will play his freshman season and then depart on his mission. Rated the No. 99 prospect in the nation, Collinsworth checks in as the No. 20 small forward. Because of his versatility, expect him to play with the ball in his hands as well.
