Joseph Cuts List; Sets Visits

Cory Joseph, a 2010 standout at Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep, is down to seven schools and is planning visits to three programs.

Cory Josesph has his list down to seven programs.

The lucky seven still in the mix for the 22nd player in the nation are Connecticut, Villanova, Minnesota, Texas, UNLV, Mississippi State and Florida.

"I think he's going to visits set Connecticut, Villanova and Minnesota," Findlay Prep assistant coach Todd Simon told Scout.com Thursday afternoon.

Having already taken an official visit to Texas, Joseph is now set to go to Connecticut on October 16th, then he'll head to Villanova the weekend of the 23rd. He's still working on a date for Minnesota.

"I could see it going either way," Simon said when asked if Joseph would sign early. "Nothing at this point would surprise me. He doesn't have timetable."

Following those three official visits Joseph, a five-star lead guard, would then have one official remaining. He'll likely visit UNLV unofficially, which means Florida and Mississippi State would battle it out for the final visit.

"I think the schools have come so hard that it's forcing him to do something," Simon said about Joseph's recruitment.

Joseph checks in at No. 6 on Scout.com's point guard list.
