Kyle Caudill, the top rated center in the West Coast class of 2011, recently decommitted from Arizona State. He says he will take his time the second time around...
, 6-10 JR C Brea (Calif.) High, is one of the elite big men in the west for 2011. A true center, Caudill can score with either hand in the post and he's starting to develop a nice shot to the 15-17 foot range. A very hard-working kid, Caudill has transformed his body in the last couple years. It's pretty clear he's a prospect that is just going to get better in the coming years.
I spoke with Caudill recently and asked him about the schools that have been in touch with him since his decommitment.
"Arizona State, Stanford, Cal, Georgetown and Oregon State," said Caudill. "Arizona State and Oregon State have offered."
When asked if he has a leader, Caudill replied, "Arizona State is probably still my favorite, but I'm pretty much wide open."
I asked Caudill what he is looking for in a school.
"I'm looking to see how they play with a big guy," said Caudill. "How I can grow and develop under the coaches. And the main thing is I want to win."
Caudill said he's in no hurry to commit again.
"I'll definitely take my time," said Caudill. "I'll probably play through next summer and commit during my senior year."
