The coach was taken but the unheralded prospect and UConn immediately began recruiting Bradley. Calhoun, who has taken on under the radar big men before, now has another upside big to cultivate.
Bradley visited VCU, Connecticut and Drake. The Bulldogs were the other finalist for his services and made the decision difficult for Scout.com's No. 100 prospect. Bradley was set to decide last week but had trouble making the pick.
"It's the opportunity to do what I've wanted to do and compete at the highest level," Bradley told Scout.com. Bradley averaged 10 points and five rebounds for Chattanooga (Tenn.) Tyner Academy but is poised for a big season.
"I was really comfortable with (Drake and UConn)," Bradley said. The decision came down to playing at the highest level.
