List of Five For Brucculeri
Kyle Brucculeri, 6-6 JR SF Los Alamitos (Calif.) High, is a shooter with deep range. He's an average athlete, though, and will need to improve in that area if he's going to defend wings on the perimeter in college. We spoke with Kyle last night and he told us that he likes five schools at the moment -- Stanford, Texas Tech, Wyoming, Cal and Oregon. He said that he particularly likes Stanford. "I've watched them for years and the way they center their offense around shooters, I think I'd be a good fit there. I always liked Stanford and UCLA growing up." Brucculeri said that academics and the style of play would be important issues when he chooses a school. He also said that he would like to see some early playing time. "I don't want to sit on the bench for the first couple years, so I'd like to get some time." We asked if he had any timetable for making his decision. "No, not really," said Brucculeri. "I'm supposed to take an unofficial trip maybe to Stanford and Cal next month. But I don't really have a timeframe for picking a school." Brucculeri told us that his GPA will be either 3.6 or 3.8 after this semester. He hasn't taken the SAT yet.
