Chol Cuts List, Doesn't Claim Favorites

Angelo Chol released his new list to the media via a formal press release through his high school coach this past weekend.

Angelo Chol, of San Diego (Calif.) Hoover, narrowed his list of schools to 11 over the weekend.

The schools that made the cut were Alabama, Arizona State, Connecticut, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas, North Carolina, UCLA, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming.

"Every school has offered a scholarship at this point except for North Carolina," Hoover coach Ollie Goulston said. "Every head coach has been out to see Angelo with the exception of coach [Roy] Williams, who is working on arranging to come out this winter."

According to Goulston, Chol, who played with the U16 USA Basketball team this past summer, is still open and won't decide until his senior year.

"Angelo does not have a leader at this point and will not commit prior to the fall or spring of his senior year after he takes his official visits," he said.

Goulston also stated that Chol is currently working on arranging unofficial visits throughout his junior season.

Chol is a four-star prospect that is ranked No. 31 overall by Scout.com.
