Franklin Plans On Waiting

LaBradford Franklin, a talented senior point guard from Southern California, has taken a couple official visits this fall, but says he'll probably wait until spring to pick a college...

LaBradford Franklin, 6-0 SR PG Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak, is a talented scoring lead guard with a nice upside.

I spoke with Franklin recently and asked him about the schools that have been in contact with him recently.

"Arizona, UCLA, San Diego State, Marquette and Washington State have been the main ones," said Franklin.

When asked which schools have offered, Franklin replied, "Arizona, San Diego State, Marquette and Washington State."

Franklin has taken two official visits to San Diego State and Marquette.

Of the San Diego State visit, Franklin said, "I've built a relationship with the San Diego State staff prior to the visit and it went real well. I met the team, and their families, and had a big dinner with everyone. I got to run with the team and I think I'd be a great fit there. I really enjoyed myself."

When asked about the Marquette trip, Franklin said, "I'm a West Coast guy and when I got there it was a bit rainy and cold. But then I got to the gym, met the staff and really had a good time. They have an amazing facility there and I enjoyed myself."

Franklin said he doesn't anticipate choosing a school any time soon.

"I think I'll most likely decide after my senior season," said Franklin.

Franklin said he currently has a 3.8 GPA.
