Rice, Rice Davey

All right stop, collaborate and listen. David Chadwick's back with a brand new decision.

David Chadwick, a former standout from Charlotte (N.C.) Latin, is headed to Conference USA. According to coach Kevin Keatts, the current Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military power forward picked Rice after considering East Carolina.

"He's going to Conference USA, playing for a good coach and he's got a chance to play for a good team," Chadwick said. "Plus, it's a school that's really, really hot with academics."

Chadwick originally signed with Washington State but Tony Bennett took the Virginia job and Chadwick opted to re-open his recruitment and take a spin around the recruiting landscape.

"He can really, really score. He can use both hands and he's got the ability to step out and shoot the shot from 15 feet and out to three. He's a skilled player and he's been good for us. He was hurt during a majority of the live period."

It's a wrap, Chadwick will play for the Owls. He's the first commitment for Ben Braun this season.
