Lamb's Recruitment Likely Headed To Spring

Doron Lamb has taken a handful of official visits, but he still wants to take two more. So he'll likely be waiting until the spring to make his college choice.

With the early signing period rapidly approaching the main question for the 2010 prospects is whether they'll sign early or wait until the spring.

Although he's already taken a trio of official visits Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill standout Doron Lamb appears to be heading to the spring with his recruitment. His father – Calvin – told Scout.com that he'd be surprised if he signed early.

"If I had to guess I would think [he'll sign in the spring]," the elder Lamb said. "I don't think that's going to happen. He hasn't even committed yet, I don't think he'll commit and sign. I just don't see it happening."

Lamb has taken official visits to Kentucky, Oklahoma and Kansas. He's scheduled to head to Connecticut this coming weekend, and is also expected to take a trip to Arizona, assuming he doesn't sign in the fall.

"That is part of the plan for him to go visit [Arizona]," he said. "His schools schedule is so busy with so many games. That's really what is holding everything up."

According to Lamb, his son, who is ranked No. 26 overall by Scout.com, doesn't have any leaders.

"Everything is even right now," Lamb said. "He has two more visits. As far as the schools he's visited he liked them – Oklahoma, Kansas and Kentucky. As far as who he is leaning towards I can't really say right now."

"I would think he's getting tired of it because I know I am," he added about the process. "I could imagine him with all the calls, letters, interviews it all gets tiring after a while."

And it looks like the calls, letters and interviews will continue, as it looks like Lamb will take his recruitment to the spring.
