Morris Ends Recruitment

Paul Hewitt's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets scored a Top 100 commitment on Tuesday.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets won a recruiting battle with ACC rival Clemson.

Jason Morris, a 6-foot-4 small forward out of the Hotchkiss School and ranked No. 78 by Scout.com, already has a phone number with a 706 area code. He's familiar with the turf in Atlanta.

"His two choices came down to Clemson and Georgia Tech," Phillip Morris, Jason's father told Scout.com. "The proximity was the same, so it wasn't so much the location. Where he is now is kind of like what Clemson is and he just wanted a little more of an urban lifestyle.

"In my opinion, either choice would have been good from a basketball standpoint."

Morris, a super athlete, is Tech's first pledge from the Class of 2010.
