Sheehey Decides To Sign; Headed To Big Ten

After a big spring and summer, Will Sheehey's recruitment took off. On Monday he finalized his recruitment with a commitment to a Big Ten program.

Will Sheehey had a big decision to make. Should he sign early with Indiana or hold off and take a few more visits? He made the decision Monday morning.

"Will has committed and will sign tomorrow with Indiana," Weston (Fla.) Sagemont coach Adam Ross told Scout.com.

According to Ross, Sheehey, a 6-foot-5 senior small forward, had a great official visit to Bloomington (Ind.) and felt like he could help the Hoosiers.

"He loved it," Ross said of the visit. "Indiana is a special place academically and if you are a basketball fan I don't know if there is a more historic place. It's a big time place if you love the game."

Michigan, UCLA and Arizona State made recent calls into Sheehey and were hoping that he'd hold off until the spring so they could get him on campus, but Sheehey, a 2010 prospect, didn't want to wait.

"Will really believed in Coach Crean and believes that he's going to turn Indiana basketball around and put them back on top of college basketball where they belong," Ross said.

"Coach Crean believes in Will and believes that Will is one of the guys that can help do that," he added. "They have a fantastic business school and Will is a great student and the business school was something that will was definitely interested."

Sheehey is Indiana's second commitment of the 2010 class. He joins three-star prospect Victor Oladipo.
